Great Swing trader, although probably trading against you.
I don't what to make of Superman exactly. I read his blog religiously and I find it to be immensely valuable
The guy obviously has a pretty killer formula. What it is in essence, is he finds underfollowed stocks (often with no analysts), usually that are growing very fast (often with some identifiable potential catalyst in the next two months) and here's the key with very low float. He also has a good eye for hot sectors (he nailed the Oil and China trends e.g.) It's a CANSLIM derivative strategy. As such it works best in strongly trending Bull markets.
I've often fact checked his DD. To date I've found one pick where I think he was either materially wrong (SKBI) or possibly omitting crucial information. Most of his pitches seem to trust company projections, which in his case is most of what he needs (if his holding time were longer than 1-3 months he probably shouldn't just take their word for it).
But I don't trust him at all. He never discloses when he gets in a pick or especially when he gets out.He does give price targets, but it seems to me he usually bails well before they are hit. When he's in a position, he also makes sure to tell everyone and their mother over and over about it on the Lion, twitter etc. Which is kind of nice in a way but makes you wonder why he does this since you know he's probably not doing it out of the goodness of his heart (not that I blame him!).
The only way I ever really can tell when he's out of a pick is when it shows up in his "win" column and he goes quiet on the Lion about the company. It also makes it hard to judge what an accurate closing price should be to verify his win column %'s. Even if you cut his win %s in half it's still impressive so that isn't a deal breaker.
Here's what I think he's doing. I think he buys a stake after he does his dd in legitimate growth stories, then uses his blog and other social media to create hype to help ensure he has good demand to sell his stake into.
Since he's right so often and he plays low float stocks and has a growing following, this can work pretty well. And since he's a swing trader, there is usually enough time to safely follow him if inclined.
Anyway I find his blog to very invaluable, but I think anyone who uses it as part of their DD ought to be aware of the that there is a very good chance Superman could be the guy selling you the shares you might buy.
If you are an adult about it, being aware of the risks of a situation, Superman's blog can make you a boatload of money.
