I couldn't recommend another book more.

I'll keep this short and to the point as a full review is not needed to balance the the pros and cons. This book breaks down trader psychology with talent, resolve and inspiration.

The only negative thing I could say about it is if you've never traded with actual capital you might not have experienced the emotions that are examined and dealt with so beautifully in this book.

I highly recommend Trading in the Zone.

Awesome book

I personally think this is one of the best books I have read on trading psychology. A huge part of trading that is often overlooked is trading psychology--and I am honestly surprised to see that this book does not have a better review.

I think it is important to have experience before reading this book otherwise a lot of the concepts and ideas in the book won't really be applicable.

The following review is from www.amazon.com

Picks up where every other book leaves off

If you are like most people, after your first few losing trades you set about to learn better market analysis. After your next string of losers you learned about risk management. But there's still one more challenge to conquer; yourself.
That is the major premise of this book. If it sounds like wishy-washy psycho-babble to you, I'll only say that I would...

Good content, could be better written.

Everything the author describes in the book seems like my life story on trading. I was really pleased to find something relevant. His suggestions seem good as well. The reason that I am giving this four stars instead of five is a big one - the way it's written.

This book is extremely short just looking at it's thickness. But it feels like it goes on forever because the author rambles way too much. Many of his sentences are four lines...he can turn one sentence into it's own paragraph! Some ideas are simple enough where you could state it and move on, but he just rambles and gets very nitty-gritty with every little concept so it just goes on forever. My ADD was killing me while reading this. I can read a long book that's interesting, but give me a short book that's 75% rambling fluff and I'll get a migraine. And my other complaint is that I don't know how many of his psychological ideas are based on real psychology and how much is 'pop psychology'. Either way, he uses way too many long-winded examples to make very simple points.
My bottom line is that I recommend this book but cannot ignore how annoyingly it is written.

Some nuggest but poorly written

This is one of those books that does indeed contain a handful of useful nuggets but is poorly written and could have been one-third the length. At times the author goes on and on for many paragraphs to say what could have been said in 2-3 sentences.

It's a decent book but somewhat annoying.
