Solid, foundational financial insights

I agree with the other dudes reviewing Dave, he provides very basic and straightforward advice. The funny thing about it is that 90% of people living in this grand country do not understand these concepts.

I've been on the Dave plan for a good while, it's the foundation of my financial plan. He doesn't offer the greatest insight beyond getting out of debt and getting on a good budget to set you up with increasing your net worth over time, but I like how he keeps it simple and is able to help a WIDE variety of people.

Debt is dumb, is what he always says, and that is truth.

Honest, Blunt and Transparent

I'm not a huge fan of the Dave Ramsey show on the Fox Financial Network because it's basically nothing more than watching him talk to people who call in. Kind of boring. However, I do listen to his radio show and find him to be very honest and helpful to people who call in with investment questions or a financial dilemma.

Yes, his advice is quite basic and full of simple common sense. But it's amazing how many people have no financial acumen and, therefore, need a basic financial wake-up call. I'm often flabbergasted by people who call in and ask for help because they have $45k worth of credit card debt on a $50k salary, and Dave is the perfect guy to slap some sense into them because he does it graciously.

Seems like 90% of America has no savings or investment/retirement plan at all, so Ramsey's common sense approach to living off credit is a much-needed commodity for those who need a better idea.

My wife and I used his plan to unload a bunch of debt and now we only have a mortgage payment. If it can work for me it can certainly work for you. So tune in if you need some financial common sense.

Back to basic

I like Dave Ramsey's stand on personal financial management. " get out of debt and stay out of Debt" sticking to the basic rule and advising people on how to get back to the basic is very importan. Although I think his concept was just a revised concept from a classic book " Think and grow rich" his approach is pretty timely and it always work. His show is entertaining..

Conservative and straight-forward approach to personal finan

Dave teaches some fundamentally sound principles... useful for the conservative approach to personal finance. I think people who have a "work and save" mentality would benefit from his teachings. As a risk-taker and entrepreneur, I can't get myself to follow his instructions to the T.

His approach can keep you grounded and has gotten me to look at financial risk from an objective manner.
