Reliable, Honest, Educational,Transparent Daytrading blog

No BS, all results.

if you are serious about becoming a good trader and not just lemming following some chump's "picks" go here. You will get Better reading his material. As the saying goes give a man a fish he will eat for day and teach a man to fish and he will eat forever. There may be no better trader to observe out there if you truly want to be self sufficient and good at trading than Micheal Goode.

Reaper is smart man and it shows, but more importantly he is very self aware of his own tendencies

You want someone who is honest and forthright when he errs? -That's Reaper

You want someone who isn't obnoxious when he wins?- That's Reaper

You want someone who isn't delivering a salespitch with every post?- That's Reaper

You want daily watchlists? -he posts them nightly

you want daily videos showing you how he trades?- like clockwork

You want to learn the intricacies of trading including everything from brokers, to software, to probability of success? - All the time baby

You want to see what a successful daytrader can make ? -he posts his wins and his LOSSES as well sharing his annual take.

You want no BS explanations of trader behavior? You want psychology insight into what lifestyle quirks can elevate you own game? You want someone who cuts through the BS TA signals and shows what actually works?You want actually want to learn how you can survive trading?

you get the point

If you daytrade at all go read this blog while you can. I suspect it won't be free for forever, the content is too good.

My Favorite Free Trading Blog

You will not find more honest, reliable, and valuable trading information anywhere on the web for free ! Reapertrades.com is part of my morning routine (or the night before) for getting ready for the trading day. Reaper (Michael) posts a daily video trading recap after market close every day, then later in the evening posts his watchlist for the following day. His videos and watchlists are filled with insights and reasons for his trades and thoughts; as such, they are very valuable learning tools for those looking to emulate his success. Additionally, he regularly posts a mailbag segment where he fields readers' investing / trading questions.

Reaper is Tim Sykes' greatest student ever, and as such his trading style is primarily Sykes -- shorting overhyped and pumped penny stocks (usually in the $2 to $5 range). He does go long occasionally on breakouts, as does Tim. Lately, he has tried to buy pumps long a la Investors Live; he admittedly has had some successes and some failures with that riskier strategy.

Reaper always discloses all of his positions, trades, and business relationships. He has a close business relationship with Sykes; he promotes Sykes on his site, collaborates with him on DVDs, and just last Tuesday (January 19), became moderator of Sykes' members-only chatroom on timalerts.com. The addition of Reaper to the chatroom basically saved the chatroom. It previously had no more than ten or twenty persons in it at any given time, and there was little to no useful conversation. Reaper has really cleaned house; there are now regularly 80 to 90 people in Tim Chat. He keeps people in order, answers all intelligent questions, and is no-nonsense. Trading with Reaper at my side all day is one of the main reasons I will be keeping my timalerts subscription going for the foreseeable future, as I had been frustrated with the chatroom before Reaper came along and with many of Tim's trades and alerts in December (January has been much better for Tim, Reaper and me).

Following Reaper's free blog should be a no-brainer for any trader, especially novices and beginners looking to learn. Reaper is a more patient teacher than Tim, but he does get annoyed if you ask questions that are answered in his FAQ or that are just plain silly. Moreoever, Reaper's moderation of Tim Chat adds tremendous value to the timalerts service; in fact, I believe the Reaper-enhanced Tim Chat alone is worth the $49.95 monthly fee for timalerts.

Nothing like it for free up until today...

I love Reaper. Michael, you rock dude!

He is really trying to help the little guy. From his honest retraction on Sykes ("Timmay is full of Bullship" etc.) to his daily watchers, he is doing an outstanding job.

He has pix of his trader workstation on his other blog, for setup suggestions. He has posted stockfetcher personal screens for Tim Syke's style penny play candidates, available for cut and paste. He does daily vid recaps of his sessions, admits ALL of his losses and does not ask for pity or make excuses, makes and has made FREE instructional content on many common issues, and even recently decided to NOT comment on a trading tactic he thinks is no good of his that others E-mail about, out of fear of newbies losing their rears.

Nobody free online compares.

Nobody.

Reaper has some deeper pockets than his audience likely has, but that has not ruined him as a commentator. He posts on Covestor and logs that and his auto trades, too. He shows his IB or other broker fills on the daily plays in his recaps, posts good disclaims and disclosures on his positions and their status. In short, Tim's transparent investment management in the flesh!

His log of critical posts have some very instructive themes on penny stocking. He has learned his craft well from Sykes and has earned the right to leave the Kung Fu temple.

His vids can be short, but that is a limitation if I recall correctly, of his software for the purpose, and they are well done and to the point.

I highly suggest you visit this blog, book mark it, and read it every day, without question.

Love It

How can you not love The Reaper. The guy updates his website everyday. He posts a watchlist in the morning and then recaps his trades in the evening. I have learned a lot from The Reaper's site and would highly recommend it.

Hail the King.

This is the best trading blog on the internet. I read it every day and have read every post and I can honestly say that it has certainly helped me develop as a trader. The watchlists aren't great but the daily trade recaps are unbeatable as the author goes over what he did/should have done/shouldn't have done etc. His readers are decent people too who are always willing to share and educate. Reaper is also kind enough to answer reader questions if they are not dumb/obvious. This blog is simply a must read for everyone.

Outstanding Trading Blog

Reaper's blog is quickly becoming one of my favorite trading blogs on the internet. Why?

First, he is honest about both his successes and failures. While many traders will gloat about their successes (or even lie about their successes), Reaper talks openly about his struggles and losses. That alone makes his blog worthwhile because you can learn from his mistakes, and you know that he is providing you trustworthy information (the trading world is often full of B.S.).

He posts watchlists every day, and you can see these watchlists for free. His watchlists are excellent, and very good for both beginning and experienced traders who trade in similar style (he trades mainly using Tim Sykes strategies). My trading style is similar to his, and so I check his blog every day to see if he has tickers on his watchlist that don't happen to be on mine.

Plus, Reaper is just an all-out good guy. I had the privilege of meeting him and his wife for lunch in Seattle last year and had a great time. He is very intelligent and is very knowledgeable not only about the stock market, but many other aspects of life.

Overall, ReaperTrades is an excellent blog both as a learning tool, and as a place to find good watches. Highly recommended.

Great Site. I read it daily.

Reaper Trades is a great site. VERY educational and he post daily trade recaps. Anyone wanting to learn how to become a dailt trader read this site.

I would also like to note that he post Q/A videos that are great. he is very helpful. The site also has a good chat feature.

He also post is trades and puts daily watch list. I could keep going on and on about the amount of info on this site, but please go check this out for yourself. One of my favorites.

Timothy sykes good side

As of may 2009 i began my journey into the penny stock world. In my quest for the most easily understandable information on my new venture i ran into timothy sykes. I began my research on him.., from his wild antics on real tv programs to his personal blogs and website. After consuming and digesting what i could understand, i stumbled upon (THE REAPER).. If theres 1 website i would recomend for profesional,accurate, in depth .... And wait .......................FREE................. Information for the novice daytrader... Its REAPERTRADES.COM..... Yes this is timothy sykes good side ...Hes part of the bad cop good cop fiasco going on in pennystock world... Truly one of the best if not the best free website on pennystocks out there. His free daily video recap is an awesome learning tool on Buy and sell tactics he used for the day. There are also video tutorials wich answere many of the noobies questions. I still consider myself a noob seeing as im a partime daytrader looking to go full time in the future.. Until then REAPER is the noobs daytrading speacalist without the jackaloon insults... Stock trading advice and picks

Reaper is awesome. The other posts accurately describe what he does, but also, he is a breath of fresh air. He is a true good samaritan. In a world filled with people who wont do anything for you or even answer a question unless you pay them money or subscribe to a service they provide (again, pay them money), Reaper does what he does without asking for any compensation (yep, I mean free) and he will answer most any reasonable question related to trading stocks. His site is filled with a bunch of good information related to trading. Check him out.

Worth a visit every day.

Came across Reaper Trades through Timalerts as Michael is a regular poster. Reaper's site is really well laid out and has some great tutorial videos, especially if you use Interactive Brokers. I have learned a lot from his posts, recaps, videos and tutorials, all being free. Hats off to Michael for creating a great stop off for the day trader whose still learning.

Reaper Converted

As a former short-biased value investor, Michael Goode started using technical analysis after becoming a student of Tim Sykes. Part of the reason he changed styles was that it became more difficult to obtain long-term borrows on hard-to-borrow stocks. Reaper mostly buys breakouts and shorts breakdowns in penny stocks. ReaperTrades outlines all of Reaper's strategies except one (which made him a lot of money in 2008). He sometimes does dual share class arbitrage in BRK-A and BRK-B.

Everyday up to 40 comments are generated on a single daily blogpost which has that days potential plays detailed on them just like TimAlerts. Not as detailed verbally, but you get a visual of the charts he looks at.

More importantly, he as well as many other traders, respond within minutes to answer any questions you have on stocks in play.

The daily video Caps are entertaining and record the effect in psychology of loosing or profiting

reaping profits

Reaper's slogan is "reaping profits by trading pennystocks" and that my friends is exactly what he does. Reaper himself is a conservative pennystock trader and a student of Timothy Sykes. Like most of Tim's students he specailizes in shortselling pennystocks.

Reaper's site offers a lot of education from daily watchlist and daily recaps, To some of his well written articles on his blog. Reaper is a master at the enlish language and this reflect in his blog.

Great learning tool

Reapertrades.com is one of my habitual stops I make when gathering information for trading. The site's administrator is a fulltime day trader who offers daily recap videos of his trades. It's really nice to watch him explain his reasoning for making a trade. He also occationally posts a list of securities that he will be watching for the next trading day. There's a place to post comments and read others, including reaper himself. It's a worthwhile site to spend some time on.

Fantastic!

It is amazing how differently I view my trading style versus that of Michael Goode's yet I pick up so much from his site. The educational value is huge. It is understandable to everyone and doesn't go off getting everyone lost using crazy acronyms. Great guy, fantastic service!

Goode guy!

This blog is very good.
Michael Goode, AKA Reaper, has developed this into and excellent blog, and you can tell he works very hard at what he does. Watchlists in the morning, video recaps after the market close, saturday morning mailbag videos (not always on saturday) make this a blog that is worth checking every day.

At first sight the web page is engaging and easy to navigate.
The posts are complete, meaning everyday (or almost everyday) Michael posts a video recap of his trades, something you don't see very often other than a few blogs like Timothy Syke's page. He is very informational and I like to grab everyday his watch list and see how they do. He likes what he does and does a good job at writing about it. A definite bookmark!

excellent blog

This is a blog that every retail investor and trader should visit. Reaper's 'very important' posts are well written and show a comprehensive understanding of the 'must knows' for beginners who want to trading for a living: you must have an edge, you must have a strategy that exploits this edge, and maybe most importantly - some strategies are doomed to fail because they embrace, rather than avoid, competition from great traders, fund managers, and algorithms.

for anyone fundamentals guy who cannot wrap his head around mainstream technical analysis - this is a highly recommended blog as Reaper employs a minimalist technical approach that's very effective and easy to understand.

A decent blog

A decent trader. This is another site that should be bookmarked and watched closely for potential plays. He often posts videos of trade recaps - nothing all that interesting though. He is informed about what he's doing, but the value in this site are his watchlists.

ITS FREE! What do you have to lose?

I was turned onto Reaper after watching one of Tims DVDs. His site is basic and simple(its a blog, what are you expecting?) The best part is it is FREE too! Lots of good information. Check out the FAQ page, I had a lot of basic questions I was wondering just from reading this page. Reaper also post his daily watch list and videos for education.

Reaper is a Keeper

If you're interested in trading penny stocks or interested in learning how best to trade penny stocks, the Reaper Trades website and blog is a great place to start.

First, go through the FAQ page or print it off for a handy reference until you learn the basics and the terminology. Then, to learn about the mindset of a successful penny stock trader, read through the VIPs, othwerwise knows as the Very Import Posts. That's where I started, and it's how I learned a lot of the basics.

All throughout the site there are linked references to important information, which is tremendously helpful. Any time I'm reading about a trade or trying to learn more and the blog references something else that's important I can click on the linked text and go right to that page. That's a very helpful feature that Michael includes all over his site.

The Reaper Trades site is the first site I visit every morning to learn what he is watching as a possible long or short trade. Yes, I even visit Reaper before going to the TimAlerts page. Even though I've only been trading pennies for about 4 momths I've done pretty well using Reaper's Watch List. Once you learn the basics about what to look for, you can too.

The best thing about Reaper's site is that it's absolutely free.

I highly recommend Reaper Trades.

he's good, he's free, and he is willing to help. nice entry format for somebody interested in paying for educational penny stock market media. now that he is the administrator on the tim sykes chat platform his forum/responses to his daily watch list has been very minimal. nonetheless, this guy knows his stuff and is will to help. Reaper Trades is awesome! It really shows that someone can really learn from Timothy sykes' dvds.

He constantly shows his trades, watchlist and a video to even prove how well he did during the day! Reaper Trades is definitely a great site to visit and to learn from. A lot of priceless education.

Definitely consider bookmarking his webpage.

Great watchlists.

If your too lazy to find your own picks reaper's website is great for finding stock picks for the day( if your a momoish trader that is). Good tutorials + good commentary + entertaining watchlists, never just, HERE ARE SOME STOCKS, more then that. Every trader should be checking various blogs throughout the day, or before the market open, and this is one of them.

Michael Goodeman aka Reaper is a nice sincere guy, unlike Tim Sykes who always bashes you when you ask question regarding his trade calling you moron, troll, etc. So ask question he will answer. his website is fast, responsive to. not too many ads and crappy stuff unlike timothysykes.com

Reaper Trades is free.

Performing = 7:
I hate it when his trade is in an out in 30 seconds or when he is scalping Tim Alerts. But I use him as indicator as to when to book profit and cut losses.

Education = 8;
You can learn about chart breakout breakdown there, which is crucial in momentum trading. His Watchlist is totally filtered out too. But thats it. He doesn't talk too much about current economic or any other interesting stuff.

Entertainment = 6
Sometimes funny deserve only 6

Mini-Tim With Less Attitude

If you're interested in pennystocking this is a great website for you. Reaper does an awesome job of keeping the blog up to date and you'll get your recaps, watch lists and him answering questions on schedule. A lot of blogs get lazy and just make posts with just a list of symbols as their watch list - lame. You won't get that on ReaperTrades.com. he does a daily watch list with charts and a daily recap SHOWING how he played the stocks that day, what he was thinking and how it worked out. You can learn a lot on these daily posts.

As for the title, it mostly refers to when people ask Reaper questions that he has already answered. He gets an annoyed voice and tells them to go to this post, this video or that he just isn't going to answer it because it's a stupid question. If he had instructional DVD's himself he'd probably promote it.

Over all Reaper is a good guy and his website is worth a daily read to pennystockers.

This site is hideous, crappy layout, colour and overall weak appeal but there is value. Reaper makes money and provides his free audience with what he is doing at the moment. It is worth looking at often.

Not always sound and disciplined advice

reaper is transparent and open with his trading and since you are able to see all of his results it's easy to see that his 100,000 in profits has come from scalping timalert followers not by picking stocks, researching his own stocks, or another amazing strategy. his profits come from jumping into a trade before timalert subscribers do and selling immediately for a quick scalp. Everything else he does is nothing more than a poorly executed science experiment with results that are random. He obviously knows his main strategy is hidden behind other weaker strategies but his website doesn't convey this, when scalping timalert subscribers hes willing to use 100,000 and when using his own strategy its an avg position of 5,000. Big difference in confidence there.

We all know you're a timalert scalper. Other than seeing that, I'm not sure what the blog is useful for.
