Great Technical Analysis

Tim Knight is a good counterpoint to the perma bullish media outlets. His technical analysis is interesting and well done and the blog is a great way to learn some TA. I wish he would talk more about his entries and exits but I respect that since he runs a fund now he can't. Also enjoyed his book.

I hear the comment section is entertaining but I haven't read much of them

Tim Knight does an awsome job on TA and trading ideas.

I have been following SOH for 2 years. Mr Knight has always brought TA to the table where new and older traders learn from his charts. I also bought his latest book. Great site and sound ideas...

Slope of Hope

Tim (the founder of Prophet Charts) is a bear most of the time ... but with that said readers need to understand that Tim loves trading the markets ... and this is what differentiates the Slope of Hope over most investment sites. With his enthusiasm for charting and technical analysis, Tim is always providing trading ideas (lots of them daily). He also puts a lot of variety into the site through humorous videos, allowing guest posters, divergent focuses on pop culture, etc. And the best thing is that all of this is free (this is why I have given him a "10" for value).

Man of Honor

great over all blog for trading. Tim is a very hard working money manager . If you want the truth and honesty in trading, this sight will fullfill those needs. Slope of Hope is educational plus entertaining at times. Tim keeps the conversation upbeat with high standards. Tim Knight is the REAL DEAL !

He's a great chartist. Often put out charts and positions which will make you tons of money if you follow. The best host you can find on blogs. Generous, kind, and very fun. The community is the best too. You will meet a lot of experienced, supportive and helpful traders. I just less than a month ago. Have learned a lot there and absolutely addicted to people there.

Really luv this site

Of all the trading blogs out there, I always come back to Tim Knight's Slope of Hope. He puts his heart and soul into keeping fresh and relevant posts coming all day long, weekends too. The community of traders and trader wanna-bees that frequent the site are some of the brightest on the net.

Best Blog Available!

If you are interested in learning more about the markets, be it short or long term, The Slope of Hope is far and away the best there is. Tim is extremely knowledgeable, and shares his intelligence with all. A good place to pick up ideas, read great comments from other excellent traders, and just a great place to hang around.

Don't be fooled by imitations! The Slope of Hope is the best blog out there! You might even have some fun while you're there!

Just Good Reading on the Market and Macro Issues

I know a lot of folks just want stock picks -- the more the better. But personally, although I enjoy picks and the reasoning behind them, there are times where I just want to understand the market and price movements. Slope of Hope is great at this, with many well-written and lucid articles about all sorts of market information. Keep it up Tim!

awesome technicals

haha, this guy is funny. Usually finance puts me to sleep but this guy makes it pretty entertaining to read his blog. I really enjoyed his technical analysis too. You will need to understand basic technical analysis to understand what he is talking about so take a look at this book.

Excellent Charts

I am obsessed with chart's and patterns and trends and the other Tim does an incredible job with keeping his charts as simple as can be, helping viewers easily comprehend key technical support & resistance levels and the overall trend and trend changes. In short, this one of the best charting/short selling blogs around. Now if we could only get him on Covestor...

Great Free Blog

A fantastic blog with a lot of good content from both the author, who has a good sense of humor about things, and selected contributors. The comments section on the posts make for some fun/educational reading as well. Lots of quality for a great price (free)

Pretty good site

Slope is a great place and a great community, if you focus on Tim's commentary. Tim is great and provides a great view of the market and the world, but I typically try to avoid posts on his site from "Guest contributers". I used to read Tim's site everyday, but now that more and more of the posts are by other folks I don't come back as often...but I still highly recommend this site as a place to visit on a regular basis.

Tim is a great market timer, tends to be very short at near term tops and long at bottoms. He's not always right but in combination with other sites Slope is a valuable tool.

pretty decent site

I actually had never even heard of the guy until he did and interview on Misstrade in November. Tim Knight has as interesting story. It is definitely not a typical Wall Street background. If this is the first introduction to Tim Knight the interview is worth it. I think there is a lot of value in listening the guys who have developed their own system and who entrepreneurial mindset. This website definitely has some similarities to the Kirk Report.

Poor analysis

His blog is more entertainment than value. He's been bearish for all of 2009 and no matter how much he loses, he sticks to it. He has trouble differentiating between news & market direction. Yes, the economy is poor---No, that doesn't mean the market will tank. I don't sense any level of objectivity in his analysis. Being biased will get you killed when trading off of the charts.

I don't think your review is a fair reflection of my work. I posted many, many long ideas - particularly lottery plays - in 2009. Yes, I was way more bearish than I should have been, but I think I'm more objective than you give me credit for being.

Not what it once was

Used to be much more interesting.

Tim is a good guy, but seems to be putting less effort into the blog.

Agree the guest posts are a waste of time.
