Perma-bear with very unbalanced view.

I used Ron's service for several months. Ron is very knowledgable about technical analysis. However he presents a very unbalaned interpretation of the data. Even while he is predicting an upturn he is bemoaning the next market crash just around the corner. He speaks out of both sides of his mouth constantly. He will give you a forty-five minute nightly video that could easily be condensed to 15 minutes if he would just stop repeating himself. If you just want to learn some technical analysis Ron has a lot to offer. However, if you are actively trading you better be very careful his service will cloud your thinking and could prove very very expensive.

Hardwired Bear

This man is hard wired to see the financial market from the BEAR side only! I followed him from Oct 2011 and every Day Ron just brings Bearish News from somewhere . if you read his commentry from Oct 2011 you will see what I mean. His indicators the Fantastic Four are Rubbish!

Ron is a bear's bear

Ron seems, at first look, to be a thorough analyst with insight into indicators, so it's a conundrum how he always seems to arrive at the conclusion that the market is a Bear.

He did an enormous amount of damage to followers in August/September 2010 when he convinced his flock to go short with promises that they would be rich (actually said....) by making large bets on inverse ultra ETF's. Needless to say, they were decimated and worse, he continued to instruct holding that bear position as the markets made a run on Quantitative Easing. He then disappeared and left the faithful wondering if he still held or unwound his positions. As if all this is not enough, Ron had a Facebook page and one day he simply and cowardly turned it off, leaving everyone stranded. Those who had followed him, rebuilt their own page and moved on to other gurus.

Very Useful Newsletter

Nightly updates with charts and detailed explanations of the markets. Very educational since Ron explains the indicators he uses and how he comes to the conclusions he has about the markets.

This is not a site for buy and sell signals. There are many types of traders, day, swing, trend and momentum, so a lot of information is provided, but if you are just looking for buy or sell recommendations you will have to do some work on a trading plan for yourself.

The site is free but Ron does ask for donation for his work. For the work he puts in donating a few dollars is not a problem.

Great Site

I follow a lot of stock/options blogs and this is my "go to" one. Ron Walker's commentary and technical analysis are very educational and typically spot on. He doesn't make specific stock recommendations, but I've probably earned more because of this site than any other.

Ron does solicit donations a lot, but it is understandable when you realize he puts a ton of time something he gives away. Also, it's hard to find much personal info on him, even on his website. That may not matter to most, but I would like to know a little about whose analysis I'm following, and I think it would help his donations.

Highly recommended if you want a good idea of where the market is going and you want to learn technical analysis (even if you're already skilled).

Great daily technical analysis

The daily market review videos here are very thorough. There’s a lot of commentary on the different indexes with analysis of many of the technical indicators that analysts look at. If you are very keen on analyzing the market from various technical perspectives and multiple timeframes, you will find these videos extremely helpful and educational. I’m mainly interested in candlestick charts which are of course presented here. All in all, this is top-notch market commentary.
