quite fascinated by the low comissions as I have read in the reviews and I am thinking that this might be worth trying. any positive or negative feedback please share as i am quite interested to learn more.thanks folks

lowest commissions in the world

if you are looking for rock bottom commissions do not look further! just2trade delivers the most basic broker service for a bargain. where is the catch? i did not find any so far.

they provide real time quotes, ach transfers etc.

the only issue i see is: how solid is the clearing company? it seems to be a general problem these days. anyway, i stay under the insured amount and i think i will be fine...

good value, terrible customer service

Apparently you don't get to choose how you meet a margin call on your account and even if you do chose, your choice is ignored. And when you try to deal with it through customer service, they do not even answer your questions.

Commissions are very good.

Shares available to short is pathetic.

Tools are adequate.

Maxit for tracking account is useless since it has not been updated since November 2010.

Best of the deep discount brokers

They are the best of the deep discount brokers (under 4.00) You dont get much but you do get basic tools that you need to trade. The executions are pretty decent and the service is much better then sogotrade.

2.50 a trade just hard to beat. Great for small accounts

Just2trade has great value at 2.50 a trade and .50 an option.

Of course you get what you pay for. For Larger stocks they execute fast. For pinks it can take a little longer. Great customer service.

Web site is pretty basic.

Just2trade is making the big guys look bad

I agree with most of the reviews already written here. I used to have accounts with 4 different brokers and just2trade is one of them. I opened an account with these guys about 3 years ago and back then they only offered a very basic trading platform so I mainly used them for my active trades. However, these guys have been adding more free tools lately that really makes you wonder why keep accounts with other more expensive brokers, I still maintain an account with another broker as a backup but I do most of my trades through just2trade. So in a nutshell, here are my cons and pros:

Pros:

-Great commissions

-Excelent execution

-Very decent research tools like Morningstar research(highly recomended), technical analysis, etf and mutual fund screeners, stock alerts, among other tools. They also offer free realtime level 1&2 streaming quotes. The catch is that you need to maintain $2,500 balance in your account.

Cons:

-No charts and complex options yet ( according to one of the reps I talked to, they expect to have both available my mid summer of this year)

-Not for newbies

Overall, if you know what you are doing and do not need too much handholding, this is the perfect broker for you.

Great Broker --- For what it is

Pros: Pretty unbeatable commission rate. Im an active trader so thats the main thing for me, besides good executions, and they're good there too. Also, the order entry/logical orders gives more than enough options (trailing stops etc).

Neutral: Web based and software options are super basic, essentially just an order input system.

Cons: No useful trading tools (ex: streaming charts, etc). For $2.50 a trade this doesnt bother me a bit. Short list is reeeeeeally limited, super tough to get in play stocks short.

Overall - This is for folks that have trading experience, so if you don't, this isn't a broker for you. I use Just2Trade mainly just for order entry on the long side, and for that, the broker is perfect.

Exactly as advertised

Just2Trade is a true discount broker! It is certainly tough to beat $2.50/trade. You pay for what you get. They do have free L2...but the L2 isn't great. This is not a broker you use for their toolset but for their cheap rates. I have always had good experiences with their customer service. They answer emails and phone calls quickly...no long menu systems.

Nothing More Nothing Less

You cant really give these guys a bad rating because they're upfront about everything. It is simply a broker to place your trades with nothing more nothing less, for the experience trader only. Your not gonna get any tools but you will get the lowest commissions in the business. You cant beat $5 for every round trip. Customer service is not bad and they do offer level 2 for free. I love the fact that you can trade any stock at any price (including pinks & OTC's) unlimited shares. I highly recommend these guys but would also highly recommend that you come in with your own charting software because their is no charting here. With the money you save on commissions purchasing a charting package should be no problem.

Pros: they are perfect for experienced traders who need nothing else but cheap, good execution, without emphasis on additional services (like me). Just $2.5/trade with no hidden/maintenance fees - is the lowest comission in the industry. Trading interface is exellent.

Cons: their short-list is very "short"
