higher costs than others

Commissions are high and customer service can be spotty. I have had to call to correct commissions a few times, I don't think its them but the clearing house screwing things up.

Zen-fire charges an inactivity fee now. Pure greed.

A Small company with a big bite

There is nothing to say about Mirus other than they are exceptional.. absolutely top notch. They aren't as big as other brokerages but they really now how to be competitive and treat their customers right. This is the only brokerage account that I use with my emini trading and would recommend it to ANYONE!

Why pay for it?

They were a great broker and I had no reason to leave them until I received a message noting they are going to start charging a $25 fee if you don't do at least 10 round turns in a month. This is great, but I am testing out strategies and don't plan on trading "live" for a bit. Why would I want to pay them $25, while they have my money, just because I am demoing a strategy?

Greed continues in these tough economic times! Way to go Mirus - join the ranks of the greedy on Wall Street.

I will definitely be moving my account and I don't suggest them as a broker to anyone. Go to a company that isn't so greedy.

Good for futures

I use Dorman with these guys. I recommend them. Zen Fire has been good and reliable. Support through email has been good too and quick. Opening an account was painless. They also offer educational webinars and archived videos.
