Scottrade: A tale of two sides

Pros:

1) price is fair given that you can view stocks based on a variety of criteria, Total view to see the direction of the stocks, quick and efficient customer service, tools to help you evaluate each stock and fast service

2) easy to use website, easy to sview your positions over several periods of time, prompt help service

3) I think this is a great company which helps the begginner investor learn about trading and feel smart about learning and implementing trading for stocks

Cons:

1) Only the Basics. Evaluations from independant companies is out which is something i generally like to have to help me think about my purchases. After all investing is expensive, no reason trading has to be.

I find to be a great all around broker

There are a lot of online stock brokers out there but one that stands out is Scottrade, which I find to be a great all around broker that caters to both new, beginning investors and those who are much more experienced.

easy to use

Their website is easy to use, and I love Total View, which gives me an edge because I can see when someone is dumping a high volume of stocks below the current asking price. That\\\\'s saved me a bunch of money.

Top Brokerage For Small Investors

From what I’ve seen, I can consider Scottrade as one of my top choices for online brokers. Their pricing may not be as cheap as TradeKing, Zecco or OptionsHouse, but they more than make up for it by being so well attuned to the needs of the average investor. The icing on the cake is their investor community, where you can learn from and connect with other investors.
