Unlike any other retail broker
Stage 5 Trading is probably unlike any other broker that a retail trader will encounter.
For starters, they are extremely quick in their communication with clients which for most traders is of extreme importance. Anthony is extremely helpful in answering any questions that a new or veteran trader may have regarding their account or margins or just about any other administrative questions one could think of. If you send an email it will be answered. If not, it probably wasn't received in the first place.
What Stage 5 really does that sets them apart is what they actually do to help clients find success in a field where so many fail. If you trade futures or are thinking about it, then you may have read educational material online or even seen webinars by a trader with the online name: FuturesTrader71. FT71 is an accomplished trader, exchange member, and managing partner with Stage 5 Trading and offers services, advice, webinars, etc. to Stage 5 clients. This is why they are different. They ACTUALLY WANT YOU TO SUCCEED. Part of the mission of Stage 5 Trading is to create a prop shop style of environment for online traders. Creating a structured environment where new traders can learn from someone with experience and see that people really are trading and making money is hugely important. Early on when things didn't go so well for me I started to wonder if this was all just a game and that the only people that make money are banks and hedge funds. This is not the case. This doubt could have very well ended my venture into futures trading. I believe Stage 5 will serve as a great outlet to eliminate that doubt especially for those that have lost money or just don't yet understand the markets enough to participate with confidence. While so many new traders are worrying about margin and commission, they are missing the factors in trading that will make or break them in the long run. There is no where else to look if you want longevity in your trading. The mission with this broker is not to take your commission and massage your ego after you have blown out your account. The mission with this broker is to build you into a professional. Stage 5 has the ability to talk the talk and walk the walk.
They are competitive but you could find lower it you had too. Commission does play a big role for scalpers and very short term traders but it is most definitely given too much weight when evaluating a broker. This is really only an area that should be of concern if you already know how to trade and have consistency or begin trading with a lot of size where commission will be significant. Most new traders (or even veteran traders) are not going to start trading 100 lots at a time. If you are experienced enough that the commission factor does hold significance for you, I would be wiling to bet that commissions can also be negotiated.
The margins are acceptable and while some traders assume the lower the margin the better they are often times hurting themselves without knowing it. You will get margins that allow you to trade some good size but you wont find $500 intraday ES margins here. Again, this all goes back to the primary concern of the broker which is customer service. This is something they control, and they are keeping you from trading more because they know it is counterproductive to your goals. They are doing this so you can stay in the game long enough to learn how to play.
Stage 5 Trading is probably unlike any other broker in their approach to managing clients and client performance. They genuinely want their traders to succeed in the markets with consistency and they clearly do everything they can to make that happen. There are no guarantees that you will make it trading futures or any other market for that matter. But, if you are dedicated, and ready to put the work in, the environment created at Stage 5 will without a doubt give you a better shot than you will find anywhere else and act as a catalyst to move your trading career in the right direction.
