He sparked a media war

This is your typical right-wing floor trader. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Santelli is an educated on-air editor providing commentary directly from the floor for CNBC. Look up Santelli + chicago tea party on youtube to see the video that got me into this guy. This outburst on CNBC got the media and our very own administration riled up. This later sparked a media war between CNBC and Comedy Central's Jon Stewart's daily show that was greatly entertaining for about 2 weeks or so. Santelli is entertaining, is often yelling, but is pretty informative.

CNBC would be dead without Santelli.....

Fantastic person, comentator and truth teller .Love his takes on the market..Never one to deceive anyone.Has Integrity unlike the mindless yappers and pretty face air heads who are used on CNBC to trick investors.
Santelli knows what is up and what he talks about...good experience makes for healthy take on the bond and gold markets.

CNBC's older version of Cody W...

I like the argument on CBOT over their (floor trader) income levels and not being "wealthy Wall Street fat cats" he made during the financial crisis, and all the fights he has with Keynesian inclined Steve Liesman.

He could bitch slap John Stewart and I would pay to see it.

One staunch defender of capitalism in an increasingly Europeanized country, the USA. Basically, him and Haines before he "married" (LOL) Erin Burnet are the only defenders of wealth on that channel who do not give a free pass to the administration, along with Larry Kudlow at times, but sometimes even he weakens.

He has a tendency to shout down debaters, but with somebody like Liesman, that is a plus!

Rant heard 'round the world

This guy is great! Reporting from the pits, Rick provides great commentary of the markets. You can tell he has a great respect on the trading floor, as when Rick got fired up about the actions taken by the government, he was able to get the whole floor in on his rant. This rant was a top view on YouTube, and a great moment in my opinion!

Yells too Much

I cant stand him screaming all the time, although I guess it is because he is on the floor. He seems to be the only one on CNBC who knows anything about how markets actually work and has any worthwhile advice. Like CNBC in general take it with a grain a salt and remember its all designed to get ratings and be entertaining not truthful

Well, I never got anything special from watching him. He's not tall, not gorgeous, not handsome, not particularly genius. He's okay. He's done controversial call once but forgettable...

While he has some market experience, ask yourself this: does listening to him or any other CNBC reporter or commentator make you a better trader? My answer is unequivocally no.
