Rick Santelli

DESCRIPTION
Rick Santelli joined CNBC Business News as on-air editor in June 1999, reporting live from the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade. His focus is primarily on interest rates, foreign exchange, and the Federal Reserve. A veteran trader and financial executive, Santelli has provided live reports on the markets in print and on local and national radio and television. He joined CNBC from the Institutional Financial Futures and Options at Sanwa Futures, L.L.C. There, he was a vice president handling institutional trading and hedge accounts for a variety of futures related products.

A Stand Up Guy

One of the few I respect on CNBC. He is not a cheerleader like the rest, and his opinions may change from one day to the next, but thats because he calls it like he sees it, not like a Kramer or Pisani who are downright untrustworthy.

Love his blows with Steve Leisman.

He and Joe K are great.

I love this guy. He is always Telling it like it is. The way it needs to be heard. Rock on Dude!

Tells it like it is

He tells it like it is and I think thats what people respect about him...he does not just go along with the CNBC tout stocks and say the economy is great. He is a former trader and deserves respect for his knowledge and entertaining delivery.

Really Smart Guy

Have trouble hearing him through the bond pit sometimes, but really like his style and like that he isn't afraid to throw down with someone of the opposite viewpoint. Sticks to his convictions and like him for that.
