TIMtactics DVD

Only good if you're just starting out.

This DVD was just a recorded webinar and I think that takes away from the value of the content. It is structured for the people who paid for the webinar and not necessarily for the people who buy the DVD later.

Most of the lessons contained in the DVD are basic so it wouldn't be worth it to buy this unless you're unfamiliar with Tim's strategy. The parts that should be useful, when he goes over stocks he has traded in the past, seem obvious. At several points he shows a supernova chart and the lessons are things like, "You can actually make money on the upside, if you buy this early." Such a lesson is obvious in retrospect when you can see the chart. The lessons should really be focused on how to identify charts that could supernova and what the indicators are for when there is more upside. I just didn't that sort of information in this DVD as much as I have in Tim's others.

It almost feels like this is 5 hours of explaining what Tim's strategy is, and less about how to do it yourself. There is no live trading which I think would have been a big help. I was just pretty disappointed.

I prefer Pennystocking, Shortstocking and Fundamentals

I think this is a good dvd set. But buy his other DVDs first so you can learn his strategy.

Pretty good

Watched it with a friend. TIMtactics is interesting, well explained, but it's not for beginners I had not watched most of his others. Some very basic topics, some more advanced. This is practical stuff which should make you $$. Recommend.

Solid but not advanced enough

Ive watched almost all of tims videos. I probably should have watched this video after pennystocking part 1 and 2. It seems like most of this stuff is covered already in previous videos. If you have extra cash laying around I would defintly recommend watching this one. If money is tight i would just go ahead and buy pennystocking part 1 and 2. He has a bunch of new videos out that are awesome and will be reviewing them as well once im done watching them in full.

One of my favorites

TIMtactics is probably one of my favorite Tim Sykes DVDs so far primarily because he answered a lot of questions I had after working through his other DVDs. This is a practical one that is perfect to go through after you've learned the basics of his strategy. He answers questions as basic as which broker to select, but also gets into tips such as getting your trades executed faster. Lots of people will complain, I'm sure, that this covers too many basic topics, but I still found this practical and it filled in some gaps I felt I had. I highly recommend this one.

Numerous bad things

There are two aspects of this video that just kill it for me. One: The picture quality. Basically, what you see is the computer screen he is on during the webinar and you hear his voice. The big headings on the screen are visible, but all of the size 10 or 12 font is a complete illegible blur. That would include all the numbers on the screen and 97% of the words. I understand that if you have a manual that isn't a huge deal, but for hundreds of dollars, that issue should not exist, and that is a huge drop of points for value. Maybe if you watch it on a computer screen rather than a TV you can see it, but I spend enough time on the computer with trading, so when I have a video, I don't want to be 12 inches from the screen for hours on end. And maybe if you have an HD TV or something that has better picture quality than a regular TV from the mid 2000s it could be better, but I wouldn't know. The bottom line with the picture quality is that if you try and watch it on a regular TV that doesn't have any problems with any other videos, you will have your first problem with this one.

Second - the educational value. I find it hard to follow listening to him because he jumps all over the place. Once again, the manual might be a big help, but having to listen to hours of digressing kills it for me. If you don't have the manual, you wouldn't know where the the points are at all.

Good DVD

Timtactics in my opinion is a pretty good dvd. This dvd claims to teach you 43 tactics to help you become a better trader. The 43 tactics are outline in the manual in an easy to read format. Unless you are a complete nooby you may already know some of the tactics he talks about, but it helps to see them all come together and shoved into your head.

This is an example of one of the tactics that he teaches which is how to get faster OTCBB and pinksheet fills. If anyone has ever tried to buy or sell OTCBB or pinky knows just how bad it can be to try and get filled, although even knowing the technique I still hate trading these stocks.

All in All I rate this dvd with a buy rating. If you have watched his other dvds you might get a lot of overlap, but I think it is crucial to have this stuff continually pounded in your head. Look at Tim even he forgets his own rules sometimes and ends up paying for it.

Meh

I've watched all of Tim's DVD's and this one doesn't have as many tactics as I'd like but still has some good things in it. Pennystocking Part Duex is the best.

I liked it

This is a screen capture from one of Tim's webinars. The screen capture quality isn't the greatest, but it doesn't need to be as all of the charts and audio are perfectly understandable. Nice to see the charts as they are being discussed.
