Updated review: 6/16/11
This is an updated review from my previous review back on 2/2010 and I did not have my password anymore from my previous screenname.
I have used T3Live since mid 2009 and I honestly have learned a lot of information. The value that I have recieved has been from Scott's videos and after using the service for a few years that is where the value has come from. Occassionally I also listen to Steve Levay's material and have found it to be helpful as well. I noticed that the site has done a better job of being maintained. Back when I was using the service there was many, many, MANY times where videos did not work, they were not updated, the format was messy and hard to read, so the new studio has been improved and helpful. Also, I never got responses from e-mails and the phone number never worked to call in.
I stopped using the chatroom, I did not find it added much value and upon digging I read some material that the calls are delayed due to the internet which I did not know about. Out of all the services I've used, I've found T3Live to have the best information overall. At the same time, the prop firm along with many others seems to come off as a boiler shop. One thing that I have noticed since I've been part of T3Live is that they have had a high turnover rate which is always a bad sign. There has been a new face and it is hard to even stay constant with each guy's material and style. In particular, Evan Lazarus has been the worst for me in terms of performance. I noticed he comes off as a wanna-be Jim Chanos by shorting every stock similar to estrader who was a member who lost $90,000 trading and was a member of the site.
I no longer use T3Live anymore, outside of Scott's material, I do not really fnd anymore value from the site, and his information over the years has given me a solid base to do my own work. I also do not like the subtle transition over time with his style. I remember back when I first heard about T3Live in 2008 before I joined, Scott came off as a genuine guy who was down to earth. After awhile he started having angry outbursts over the radio and when I would e-mail him questions. He also started doing the 'chest pounding' more and always is saying 'if you invested the last 10 years you made no money in the S&P-500' which SOUNDS great, but Scott people actually do actively manage money, so you are not correct unless you literally did nothing and just held the entire time. Again, his style has changed and does not really parallel with me anymore.
I am an investor who needed trading tactics and did get the information I needed. I never went to the building or did any additional training courses, etc, etc. I just did A LOT of leg work and due diligence by watching and reviewing the videos throughout the years.
Word of caution as well: If you start trading you need to have a goal or standard in which you expect to be successful in. The business is not easy and a lot of people lose money, the stats don't lie. It really is not truely for everyone.
