T3 nice
Good free educational tools and market recaps but courses are overpriced , Live trading room is pretty decent , but prices are on the higher end. I just enjoy their free market daily recap etc and other videos

A bunch of fakes.
I used to trade for T-3 for about 18 months and they are pretty bad. Scott redler is the biggest Monday morning QB ever and always will tell you he expected wherever the market is trading. He never trades any size and will magically be on the right side. Sperling only stays on VTF (Virtual Trade Floor) if the market is up and as soon as it goes down he will complain that "this isn't trading" LOL, He also only calls out his winners. Evan only shorts stocks and I imagine just makes $ off of the commissions of T-3. Nadav is a complete crook who will tell people anything they want to hear to open an account while secretly charging you outrageous fees for "administrative, accounting or software fees" They make all their money off of education and actually lose money trading (Check Edgars govt). Steer clear of these shady individuals.

Updated review: 6/16/11
This is an updated review from my previous review back on 2/2010 and I did not have my password anymore from my previous screenname.

I have used T3Live since mid 2009 and I honestly have learned a lot of information. The value that I have recieved has been from Scott's videos and after using the service for a few years that is where the value has come from. Occassionally I also listen to Steve Levay's material and have found it to be helpful as well. I noticed that the site has done a better job of being maintained. Back when I was using the service there was many, many, MANY times where videos did not work, they were not updated, the format was messy and hard to read, so the new studio has been improved and helpful. Also, I never got responses from e-mails and the phone number never worked to call in.

I stopped using the chatroom, I did not find it added much value and upon digging I read some material that the calls are delayed due to the internet which I did not know about. Out of all the services I've used, I've found T3Live to have the best information overall. At the same time, the prop firm along with many others seems to come off as a boiler shop. One thing that I have noticed since I've been part of T3Live is that they have had a high turnover rate which is always a bad sign. There has been a new face and it is hard to even stay constant with each guy's material and style. In particular, Evan Lazarus has been the worst for me in terms of performance. I noticed he comes off as a wanna-be Jim Chanos by shorting every stock similar to estrader who was a member who lost $90,000 trading and was a member of the site.

I no longer use T3Live anymore, outside of Scott's material, I do not really fnd anymore value from the site, and his information over the years has given me a solid base to do my own work. I also do not like the subtle transition over time with his style. I remember back when I first heard about T3Live in 2008 before I joined, Scott came off as a genuine guy who was down to earth. After awhile he started having angry outbursts over the radio and when I would e-mail him questions. He also started doing the 'chest pounding' more and always is saying 'if you invested the last 10 years you made no money in the S&P-500' which SOUNDS great, but Scott people actually do actively manage money, so you are not correct unless you literally did nothing and just held the entire time. Again, his style has changed and does not really parallel with me anymore.

I am an investor who needed trading tactics and did get the information I needed. I never went to the building or did any additional training courses, etc, etc. I just did A LOT of leg work and due diligence by watching and reviewing the videos throughout the years.

Word of caution as well: If you start trading you need to have a goal or standard in which you expect to be successful in. The business is not easy and a lot of people lose money, the stats don't lie. It really is not truely for everyone.

GREAT Site, Awesome Traders....Huge Part Of My Trading Day
I'm a big fan of the T3 Site and a happy to be a part of their community. I think Redler and Sperling are some of the best on the Street and the more I watch, I think that Lazarus and Kelleher brings a lot of value as well. These guys are really focused on the technicals, without focusing on all the lagging indicators that I can't stand anyway (MACD, Stocastics, waste of time IMO). They identify chart patterns, bases and candlesticks and thats all I care about.

All depends on your style....for me, I am a swing trader. I focus on levels off of the daily and then dive into the intraday charts to watch price action before going long or short. When I come in to the market everyday, I have stocks that are on my radar from my research. If they trigger at the open, or later in the day, I only enter a position if the volume tells me to do so. I have been burned too many times and shaken out if I take something for the wrong reasons. Sometimes they trigger the next day, sometimes they take weeks. I don't look for pre market gappers, or stocks on fresh news that are going to make major moves in the first 15 minutes. Guys make a ton that way, good for them, just not how I roll. Matter of preference I guess.

So for me, T3 works.....I watch the Morning Call every day with Redler, usually to just get confirmation that I am on the right track. There have been "Plays of the Day" given by Sperling and other Team Members that weren't on my radar and after looking at the techinicals, I saw what they saw, acted upon trigger and made some nice returns.

One today was MCP....it was in a tight basing channel on the daily for days leading to the open. Last night some broker gave it an inflated price target upgrade. Coming in today it was on my radar with a trigger of 76.22, but after hearing Kelleher and Sperling talk about how much they loved it and other Rare Earth, it immediately went to the top of my list. What happened? Stock ran like a scalded monkey right from the bell, I added early and then again at my trigger and made some nice loot.

All depends on your style.....but T3 seems to really care about teaching you to how to fish, and if you want to be successful in this business, focus on that first....you'll eat good for life. Best job in the world.

Excellent Resource for New Traders
Excellent resource for new traders. These guys really care about getting their message out there and use that to your advantage....T3 will provide you with a lot of great information and strategies to approach the markets. I have never subscribed to any of their services, but the information that they post regularly on twitter and/or their website is top notch and always worthy of my attention.

decent blog
Only value in the blog is when Redler writes. Smart trader similar to my style. Worth visiting for his tidbits. Free blog so can't complain.

Professional
Everything you need to become a successful trader at your fingertips. Worked with T3 a few years back, it was a very good experience. The best traders put some of the best content together to make a revolution in the way you trade. If you are a seasoned vet, you will be able to follow the more advanced lessons and trades. Or, if you're just a beginner, they start you off on the basics, and build up on lessons. Very good value here.

overpriced
It's decently priced to get calls, but there are sites and chats with far better calls. I think for $99 it's worth a shot but don't expect to make a lot of $$ off their calls. they are hit or miss.

everything on this site can be found elsewhere, for free
T3Live is a huge, overly-promoted hype that is really quite worthless for a competent trader. Their positions from their gurus are delayed and/or timestamp-unreliable, so it's impossible to know what people are actually holding based on actual execution possibilities. They also have a massively large website with a lot of glitz but not a lot of content. Probably 5 zillion articles on trader psychology, technical analysis, basic fundamentals, blahblahblah but nothing worth their subscription cost. Essentially you are paying a subscription for, well, nothing that you couldn't get at a good library or for free online. Want hot lists? Any direct access brokerage will give you way better hot lists, not to mention Yahoo Finance or Google Finance. Want to see what sectors are moving/hot/cold/rotating? Try finviz.com… free. Want "expert commentary?" Get free research reports from actual experts (like Credit Suisse, S&P, etc.) from TD Ameritrade or Etrade or Schwab. Want live video? How about StockTwits.tv. Yadayada it's all out there for free. No reason in paying for T3Live unless you're lazy, in my opinion. T3Live shares the same building floor in downtown Manhattan as SMB Capital, for reference's sake, so SMB and T3Live are sorta related due to their proximity. SMB is way more worthwhile, though. You'll find much better information at smbtraining.com/blog and in their offices than you will at T3Live. If you find yourself in T3Live, do yourself a favor: walk out to the lobby, and knock next door.
