Great site for searches!

I use this site mostly for searching other sites. The search feature is directly on the main page and mines the web for anything related to a stock. A good resource for due diligence and to discovery why a certain stock is moving. I don't use it for much more than that.

Great community, I have made money from what I learned there

Run by the Lionmaster, this place is great if you can live with the fact you are a guest at somebody else's forum and must conduct yourself like a guest in his home. I believe most of the negative reviews here were by those who felt they should have a voice in how the place runs, as if their countless hours had built that place up over nearly a decade.

I have been a member for about half a year, and wish I had found it earlier. Lionmaster introduces you to the idea of doing sound due diligence (DD) as do many others there. At the end of the day its up to you to trade your account and accept your losses. I took some losses when I agreed with the analysis on STEC, but I also doubled two small IRA accounts with the help of a huge move in GNVC.

What you get out of Lion will depend on how hard you work, though you can go there and probably be a lazy ass and still make some good coin if you learn who to follow.

I also go there when I want a less biased opinion than Yahoo Message Boards.

I like this site.

I joined TheLion.com almost 10 years ago. There I have learned enough about trading on the side to make more investing than with my regular income.

I'm not sure there could be more helpful links and experienced traders in one place.

P.S. There are some hot babes there that could out-trade any guys.

P.P.S. Beware the Naskon clones that write multiple bad reviews out of spite.

A message board is a message

The lion is a good place to gather info from a large amount of baords at once.

The lion is ran by lionmaster, which I can't figure out is actually smart, or if he is just a promoter, and buys before he pumps and then sells. Not sure but this is his world, so follow the rules. The board is no nonsense. I really like that, its not name calling and the other BS that you see at other sites. So for that thank you lion.

This is not a bad board or a great board, its likes kissing sister. :0

best site everrrr

First of all IT'S FREE!!!!

The site is incredible, I get most of my stock picks from this site! and It helps me read up on what people think about the stocks I invested in; I can also see how hyped people are on the stock and if it's manipulated or not.

This site is like a gigantic vacuum for message boards!! It even has twitter now, which is amazing!

The education is free, you can learn a lot from some people; there are some legit users on that site and it's not all just spam. Also it's a lot easier than just going to finance.google or finance.yahoo, this thing just has all those sites right in front of you for your own convince! (like i said above A VACUUM!) haha.

the value?!? PRICELESS! I love free things!

One of the best

One of the best stock DD media out there. Lionmaster iron hand makes his website pump-and-dump free. He has assistant called GURU which most of them are honest people giving only DD, (little pump) on why u should buy/sell certain stocks. Overall, it is one of the best

Great site!

Timothy sykes got me onto this one, and I believe it is almost more insightful in seeing yourself in the mistakes of other traders. great picks too! All in all a great resource, use it almost everyday. And like the previous poster noted it's free!

Good Tool To See What Others Are Saying About A Stock

Do not trust everything everyone says. There are a lot of pumpers and bashers on these kind of sites. There are also a lot of newbie trades who pretend to act like they know what they are talking about. Make your own decisions and do your own DD, simply use this to get the general sentiment of others on a stock and see how "active" the discussions are.

The message board summing for tickers is awesome!

Forget about TImmay and the Lionmaster's recent fights, you have a site that combines message board searches into one big page upon input of a ticker to follow news or unexpected moves and speculation about why in a mass combing.

'Nuff said.

Sure, the top gainers/losers are easily found on Yahoo Finance and Fin Viz, but the above feature is really handy. I visit it daily, sometimes many times per day. One reason is enough.

Good for ideas.

I've been frequenting TheLion.com for almost a year now. It's a great site to get ideas for stocks, but that's about it. Most posts are very short, just giving information on an enter or exit position. Sometimes people will give targets, but in my experience the stocks rarely reaches the target.

What TheLion.com isn't good for, is education. The people who do ask questions are usually ignored or or berated. Once in a while, someone will post a quick one line answer to a question or post an article they found in response to a question.

You must also know how to separate the signal from the noise. Experience and the stock search feature will help you do this. After watching the site for a while, you will know which users are the pumpers. You can use the stock search feature and see who the are latest people to comment about the stock. If someone is spamming a stock, then you know.

This site is not for beginners, but can yield some useful information.

free site with great traders

free site with lots of great traders, too many to name but you could figure who they are by how many reps they have.

I would like the Lion to go on covestor so all his trades are auto-verified by a thrid party, I'm not sure he's in all the trades he says he is.


The forum uses some early 90's circa internet age message board system...update it already!

Good place for info

I enjoy going to this site to use the research tools. They are all in one place and I don't have to open up a bunch of different windows. Makes the research process faster. The wall street pit is fun to watch for the conversation sometimes too.

Decent Resource

The website is maintained by a trader who goes by the moniker TheLionmaster. The major benefit of this site is reading the posts of thelionmaster himself. It offers insight into a successful traders strategy even if it is not one that I subscribe to myself. Most of the posts however on the sight are useless, which is to expected from a messageboard.

Good at what it does

Like many people that trade penny stocks message boards can really influence play noticeably.

It can take a lot of time searching various places to find out if the stock is in play or if there is any kind of hype at all.

Thelion.com makes this much easier. Its the google.com search for message boards.

Some Solid DD

TheLion.com is a very solid site to try and peruse some due diligence. The value added is 100% due to the community and posters who go out of their way to dig into research and post for others. As a free site, it has its share of pumpers. EVERYONE, including you and I, are guilty of pumping in some form or another on what we believe is good research and companies. Overall, this site has more research and less blatant pumping than other comparables.

Site is not as friendly for new users or trading/investing newbies. Substantive questions often go unanswered. It will take some time to recognize which posters are somewhat diligent and honest, and which ones are just there to pump their positions. But if you can weed out the bad apples, there is some good research and learning to be had from visiting the site. Some users are genuinely interested in providing good research and are open to discuss the merits, instead of labeling everyone as either pumpers or bashers.

Pretty decent site, I could live w/o it, but it's good

These guys find some winners, and it's always fun to watch Tim and the Lionmaster go back and forth with their millions in liquidity, ha! I don't spend too much time on here, but I go here to find some info at times when I cannot find it on the other "bigger" sites (Goog, Yhoo, etc.)

Good Source for Chatter

I use the lion for the feature that you can search all the boards at once for chatter on a certain ticker symbol. Besides that I dont have any other use for the site. I have heard a lot about it mainly being pumpers... so I stay away from everything else the site has to offer.

The Lion

Everyone needs to check out The Lion. I haven't seen another site like it. The thing that I like about it is that you can quickly scan all message boards to see the sentiment about a stock. This saves a lot of time and of course you want to see the mood of any stock at any given time. I have tried to use some of the other features on the site and remain uninterested. If you have seen one message board, you have seen them all. Why would any one want to become a member of a site and sit and chat with the same people all day long? That just isn't for me. Especially when so many people that post on message boards are using multiple accounts and are either pumping or dumping. I don't think it is healthy to get too engaged in these conversations. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for.

Useful but beware

The lion.com is good in the sense that it will display posts from different sources all in one place. It is NOT the place to get opinions/views on particular stocks in play! There are so many pumpers!!! I would bet you that out of 30 user names it's the same guy behind the desk! The wall street pit is a good forum to stop by though and get a sense of what others are looking at. It's a good financial playground.

the truth about it

This site is full of a bunch of bitter, been here too long type of crowd and haven't made enough money doing it attitude. It's like any board that is poorly run with a tyranical leader with a agree with me or get banned attitude. I have seen this board grow over time with very little of my participation to only see the same things happen over and over again. Its a club filled with a bunch of poorly performing speculators. I can count the good traders on one hand. O wait thats easy there is only 3 and 2 of them have been sucking lately ( 3 months now ). coolnwo is a really great trader, Lionmaster has sucked his ass off lately, and themagician trades stocks that are no more than a .10 lately, maybe him a garbage picker.

Go here only becuz ur may be looking for wats moving lately. Other than that stay away from the bitter people who post here everyday that are over the age of 60 and retired and collecting social security with no worries of losing 300 and making 150. These are the same people that are in atlantic city every weekend on the penny slot machines wasting time away.

Owner of Site Sucks

I've been a member of this site for about a year now. It used to be a pretty decent site, but over the past 6 months or so it's turned into non-stop pump and dumps. The owner, known as Lionmaster, is the biggest pump and dumper of them all, and anyone who disagrees with him or calls him what he is will get banned. When he comes into a stock he will post roughly 50 posts on it in a matter of hours. He will throw every piece of "evidence" that the stock is going to the moon, and when it doesn't he just says sorry, you should've done your own DD.

All the really good traders who see right through him have left the site, and now the site basically remains a place for Lionmaster and his friends to pump stocks to traders who have little to no experience.

If you know what you're doing you will find little value here, however if you are new to the game and want to learn how pump and dumps work then this is the place for you.

i just got banned

the site is a dictatorship beyond belief. I stated my beliefs and got banned. I encourage you to sign up, talk shit, and then get banned becuz whether or not u mean it, its gonna happen eventually. The best way to look at the site is this way, is like a group of friends who hate on everyone else. if u make a good pick they scold you, if you make a bad pick they put you on ignore. YAHOO message board, Investors Hub and thelion.com are of equal value. They SUCK!

Case of Paronia

It turns out after I got banned they linked me to about 5 different people I could have been before with a different alias. Looks like they got a bad rap for pumping stocks. Just another Ihub board for sure. Do not donate its a scheme and eventually you will lose your money to a bad call, so save the donation for tax purposes!

Occasionally ok

I find the site to be full of confusion and pandering and manipulation. It is true that occasionally there are good ideas and DD but much of the time is spent by people that create hype to get the weaker players to follow the leaders and then create artificial movements in the stocks--pump, pump, pump. Many of the people seem to be in denial or just immature in realizing what they do--they will defend their manipulations to the end. I don't feel it is an honest stock message board but a highly manipulated one with a self described "Dictator" as the owner.
Talk about weird.
Lots of hucksters out there and this site is one-so be careful-but there are some good things like the access to data thru links.
I agree with some of the other posters that it seems weird for a money making corporation to beg for money thru donations.
The site reminds me of a high school group of immature people bragging about all the money they make or how good they are when they get others to follow their stock picks.
I wonder if they talk that way to their families and friends?

PUMP AND DUMP SITE

DON'T believe the LIES - thelion.com is nothing more than an unscrupulous PUMP and DUMP site.
It's not free - the owner and his minions will harass, belittle, coerce, and badger everyone to DONATE using peer pressure and manipulation. Passive and direct coercion-check out the "You have not donated yet" after you sign in.
This site is used slyly and hypocritically to pump stocks and dump them - all short term.
GREED is the god of this site - where most members set aside their INTEGRITY, DIGNITY, and HONESTY in pursuit of MONEY.
lionmaster and superman and many other use this site to run their stock picks up while CLAIMING due diligence, while clothing themselves in goodness.
thelion.com is a corporation to make money.
thelion.com uses coercion and deception to get people to donate so as to avoid income from CHARGING for a legitimate site.
This site is all about getting up to thousands of followers to PUMP stock prices up and DUMP them.

thelion.com is a horrendously shameful site

Lionmaster is a baby.

Hate to put a whole site down because of its owner's failure as a person but fortunately its one part of the whole. Is the lion pumping up stocks so he can sell them, or is he genuinly a good stock picker?? Whos knows....when your not verified... you can't take anyone's word for it, especially in finance... quite a show though... especially when the lion gets mad... once he closed down the entire site because someone was calling him names... pretty much ruined his credibility... other then that the site is great when your looking to factor in message board hype as one of the variables in a multitude of variables when choosing a stock, i still visit the site everyday even though i was no respect for the owner.
