Hello I am a student of Larry Levin's and his Trading Advantage crew. I have been there for about 6 months and am enjoying the classes tremendously. I was especially impressed by the level of instruction and the dedication of their instructors. Due to popularity, the course has grown by leaps and bounds with new students added monthly. We are taught all the basics that are required and the course is ongoing for anyone wanting to repeat the course. All students are given free rein to enter any of the trading or classrooms (classes being in session) at will, or to review archived class recordings at any time, as often as we like.
At first it seemed overwhelming with the amount of stuff we had to learn. I received a duffel bag full of books...these are to be used in conjunction with the class. Beginners are streamed into the beginner's level sessions and they have come out with a new series of 4 books to help us remember all the trades, and to help us overcome the fear of trading.
They use two systems: scalping and swing. Beginners learn the swing method employing Market Profile techniques and their priority charts (copyrighted) with parameters that are just right to get best results. There is nothing like it. Moderators are in the rooms instructing us how to trade, when to trade and when to NOT enter into a "losing" trade.
What I enjoy best about Trading Advantage is the chat room. I have made many friends there and if I don't understand something I just type in the question and it will be answered promptly by either other students or the instructor or their moderator assistants.
We are given strict guidelines regarding graduating from trading "on simulators" to "trading with real dollars". Our trades follow previously tested and tried methods, so you really cannot go wrong!
By the way, while trades are called explicitly in the scalping room for the more advanced students by able trading master, Dan O'Brien, they are similarly called in the Market Profile room by Patrick Assalone for all beginners....all support and resistance levels are announced and we are taught to make our own trades, and guided along to keep us from entering bad trades. We are told when to enter trades and are encouraged to learn to identify entry points for trades so that we can trade independently if we desire. We are reminded about trading rules with the intent of saving our money .. I am learning to recognize good trades from poor ones and learning to be self-sufficient at it. Commentaries and answers to student questions are posted by two well informed traders and Associates, Ted Robinson and Josh Staubs
Join it, you won't regret it. Or at least give them a try. See their website www.TradingAdvantage.com. And, by the way I am not related to Larry Levin or anyone on staff there, nor do I own shares or work for Trading Advantage nor was I paid to endorse. Let it be on the record that I love every minute of it! Instruction is from Mon-Thurs much more than you'd get in a regular course that offers only once a week lectures! From 6 -10 AM Chicago time, Monday-Friday we get to trade either live or on simulator along with the instructor and his assistants, and then get to review all the trades in the evenings (except Friday), to see where we went right or wrong so we can improve our trades, after an hour long course in Market profile every evening (Mon - Thurs). All classes are recorded and archived so missed classes can be accessed at any time. This is MUCH more than I expected. They present a very professional front and they are accountable, which is more than I can say for other places of learning. I used to teach watercolor painting at two local universities (University of Alberta and MacEwan University, both in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. You can view my website www.carolhama.ca). None of my classes there were archived, nor was I, as an instructor, expected to "support" students to the level that is exercised at Trading Advantage. When I joined them I didn't realize I was joining the TA Family. A welcome plus, these days!
Try it for a day, you won't regret it! Hope to see you there. By the way, my screen name there is Carol C. One day I will be permitted to use real money! It's coming soon! Hope to see you in the trading room, and better yet, in the classes.
